Tooreen Track Livery is a family business managed by Phillippa Christie MCMA IAHT. Phillippa is a certified equine behaviour consultant and holds a distinction diploma in Equine Management.
When Phillippa moved to Ireland in 2016 she developed a small track on a field next to her rental home. Over 6 years this grew in to a much larger track and even started taking in a small number of liveries. In 2022 the family acquired a new site and began designing and developing Ireland’s first purpose built track livery from scratch.
Phillippa applies her knowledge of equine behaviour, welfare, ethology, anatomy and nutrition combined with over 30 years of hands on equestrian experience to bring a modern approach to equine management and care.
In addition to the Track Livery, Phillippa also developed Hoof Boots Ireland and is passionate to support owners of barefoot horses.
Our Locality
Tooreen Track Livery is based near Castleisland Co.Kerry. Our name Tooreen comes from our locality and means a small paddock close to a river. With an underground stream bordering our property, which pools at the bottom of our summer track offering a cool alternative in the Summer heat, we thought this was the perfect name for us.
We have miles of hacking through quiet country lanes, forestry and neighbouring fields we have kind permission to ride in. If you like a trip to the beach, Banna Strand is only half an hour’s drive and we offer travel facilities with our large double box.
We are conveniently close to travel networks placed between Tralee and Abbeyfeale, within 20 mins of Kerry airport and approx. 1.5hr of Shannon Airport.
